Make Your Own Boutonnière With Adorable Succulents

Asset 2

If you love succulents as much as we do, why not use them at your wedding?

Personalize your wedding flowers by making your own succulent boutonnières using 3-5 of your favourite succulents. Choose a combination of short and tall succulents to balance out your arrangement. We recommend making these the day before you plan on using them. How far in advance you can make them truly depends on the succulents you use. We suggest testing it a few weeks before just to be sure!

Materials
  • 3-5 succulents
  • boutonnière pin
  • floral tape
  • ribbon
  • Scissors
  • glue gun

Instructions:

  1. Remove succulents from pots, and cut away leaves, leaving around 3 inches of the stem bare.
  2. Using floral tape, tightly wrap the succulents together in a way that you like. Arrange 1-2 smaller succulents in front, and 2-4 taller succulents in the back to create depth in your arrangement. Be sure to picture how it will look on a suit jacket.
  3. Once your arrangement is wrapped in floral tape, wrap a strand of ribbon around the floral tape, securing at the end with a glue gun. For a more rustic look, wrap your succulent boutonnière with twine.
  4. Use a boutonnière pin to attach it to a suit jacket, and get ready to walk down the aisle!
